National Youth Conference on Constitution Review: Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 8:00 AM – Friday, October 12, 2012 at 6:00 PM (GMT)
There is a general outcry from every nook and cranny of Nigeria for a constitution review. There are calls from several quarters within the seven geopolitical zones that make up Nigeria. True federalism, creation of more states, state police, creation of a people’s constitution, resource control, lean government are some of the issues that surround the call for review/amendment.
In view of these, young people who make up more than half of the population must participate fully in the constitution review process. Following the successful twitter conference on the Constitution review process in Nigeria, the Youth Alliance on Constitution Review is hosting the National Youth Conference on Constitution Review.
The conference will deepen youth understanding, engagement and analysis of the critical issues surrounding the constitution review process and also act as a platform to harmonize strategies for youth engagement throughout the process.
The conference will run hold between October 11 and 12, 2012 in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital City.
PLEASE NOTE: All Participants are responsible for covering all incidental costs (transport, accommodation and feeding) associated with their participation at this conference. Conference organizers will provide conference materials and refreshments
